Nancy Fawson

Vocals

Nancy's musical roots are steeped in soul, Motown, R&B and funk. She grew up listening to Sam Cooke, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, Stevie Wonder and Amy Winehouse and those artists made an indelible imprint on her.

Nancy has a unique, soulful and passionate voice and she delivers her lyrics with a purity of expression and connection both with the song and the audience.

Joel Primer

Lead Guitar

Joel got his start in music as a kid in suburban New Jersey in the 1970s, listening extensively to Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Boston, Santana, and Van Halen. Big loud guitars were the name of the game, but eventually he expanded his palette of influences to include inspirational artists like Joni Mitchell, Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, and Jeff Beck. Shred chops gave way to the realization that playing great songs in a tight, cohesive band to get the crowd moving was its own reward.

Joel’s roster of appearances includes NYC institutions like The Cutting Room, The Bitter End, the Wetlands, and CBGBs, as well as Jersey Shore summer nights spent onstage at the Stone Pony with members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

Jake DeMoe

Drums

After failing miserably at every other instrument,  Jake took up the drums and the age of 15 and has never looked back. Originally from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Jake has experience gigging and recording many styles of music, and especially enjoys playing funk, blues, and reggae.

Matt Kanter

Bass

Matt left a long science career behind and gave himself to music. Music gave him amazing teachers and mentors: rhythm master Thomas Perry, and San Rafael bass legend Angeline Saris. Originally from Cincinnati, currently living in the Easy Bay, Matty holds down the low-end every day, playing blues, R&B, rock, and jazz … but enjoys the funk most of all.

NJ Reason

Vocals

Raised in Marin, NJ Reason discovered his love for music at an early age. Surrounded by the serene beauty of nature, he finds solace in the harmonies of the world, which ignites innate desire to create his own musical universe. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres, including indie-pop, electronic, blues and alternative rock, NJ Reason effortlessly blends these influences to craft a sound that is unmistakably his own.
